# Seraj al-Reza (سراج الرّضا)

> A Persian religious companion app (Shia, Iran): Solar Hijri, lunar Hijri and Gregorian calendar with every occasion and official holiday of Iran, the ayah of the day, a daily Qur'an recitation program, poems, eulogies (مداحی) and mowludi for each occasion, hadiths, prayer times, qibla, tasbih, a personal Qur'an journal and the full text of Mafatih al-Jinan, Nahj al-Balagha and al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya.

Every religious text comes with its source:
- Qur'an text: Uthmani script of the King Fahd Complex (Hafs), via QuranEnc.
- Persian translations: Makarem Shirazi, Ansarian, Fooladvand (Tanzil project).
- Pages, juz and place of revelation: Tanzil metadata (604-page Madani mushaf).
- Occasions and holidays: official calendar of Iran (Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran).
- Prayer times: method of the Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran.
- Nahj al-Balagha: edition of Muhammad Dashti (numbering of Subhi al-Salih); al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya with the Persian translation of Hossein Ansarian; Kulliyat Mafatih al-Jinan of Sheikh Abbas Qummi. All three from the digital library of Madrasa al-Fiqaha (lib.eshia.ir), with the page of each text. Recitations of 136 texts of Mafatih and all 54 supplications of the Sahifa are streamed from Duas.org, which allows free use with a reference to the site; the reciter is named beside each file.
